The Community Association, which has been running the village hall over the years, has recently changed its name and structure. These changes are reflected in the formation of a ‘Sole Trustee’. This will oversee the operation of the new Hatfield Peverel Village Hall charity.

The Sole Trustee is looking for volunteers to join a management team to help run the village hall. This management team will be supervising the operation of the hall. Its role will be to ensure that the hall offers a service to the local community, but at the same time stays viable and cost effective.

We require people who could join the management team. Ideally, they would need to be enthusiastic, committed, visionary, and be experienced in management. We would expect this team to meet once per month, but it could be more frequently at certain times of the year depending on the circumstances.

So, if you have any of the following skills or experience in:

Management

Marketing

Running events

Financial and target setting

Working with young and old people

People management

Leisure sector

Grant applications

Village Hall management

And you have a few hours spare, please get in touch with the Secretary on 01245 382865 or parishclerk@hatfieldpeverelpc.com by 28th February 2021. The Secretary will collate a list of applicants who will then be asked to meet with a small panel for a chat and interview (held virtually).

 

If you would like to help, but not be at a management level, there will be opportunities later in the year to volunteer for different working parties. These will be tasked to investigate and recommend new and exciting opportunities for the Village Hall.

 

Please note, a DBS check will be required for all volunteers, at no cost to the individual.
